Plant description

The Boulder Solar I Plant (Boulder) is located in Clarke County, Nevada in the United States. The Business has acquired a 49% equity interest in the 125 MW solar plant from SunPower Corporation (SunPower) – a global leader in the manufacture of high quality solar modules and development of utility-scale solar plants.

Boulder has been operating since December 2016 and sells all power and renewable energy credits generated to NV Energy under a 20-year power purchase agreement. NV Energy, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy, is a major utility servicing over 1.2 million customers. The quantity of electricity generated by Boulder is equivalent to powering 28,500 homes every year.1

The Business acquired its interest in Boulder in February 2018.
