Plant description

The Turlock Irrigation District Solar Generating Station (TID SGS) is located in Rosamond, Kern County, California in the United States. The 67.4MW solar plant represents Phase II of a series of utility scale solar plants built by SunPower Corporation at the Rosamond Site. TID SGS has a secured 20-year power purchase agreement with Turlock Irrigation District.

Energy production of the utility-scale solar plant is underwritten by minimum performance guarantees provided by SunPower. SunPower is a global leader in the manufacture of high quality solar modules and development of utility-scale solar plants.

Funding of the acquisition was completed shortly after the plant commenced commercial operations in December 2016.
